Abstract

“analysis of the implementation of the four pillars of green tourism in the water park tourism area in South Sulawesi province. This research is located in South Sulawesi (Bugis Water Park, Maros Water Park, Matampa Pangkep Fantasy World, Ujung Lare Parepare Water Boom, Puncak Bila Riase Tourism Park, Lejja Natural Baths, Gowa Discovery Park & Planet Beckham, Gowa Discovery Park, Planet Beckham, Water Boom Taman Roya Jeneponto, and North Galesong Beach Tourism. This study aims to clearly find out how the four pillars of Green Tourism are implemented. First, Reducing Carbon Emissions, Second: Conservation of Biodiversity, Third: Waste and Garbage Management, Fourth: Maintaining the availability of sustainable water resources) in the “Water Park” Tourism Area in South Sulawesi. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method approach in accordance with the aims and objectives of the study to be achieved. This method is carried out because the problems raised are problems that cannot be revealed through statistical data, so a certain approach is needed to understand them. In this study, the population and research sample are Tourism Office Officials, Staff Officers who can provide information, Tourism Area Managers, Communities around the Tourist Areas, Tourists who visit the Tourist Areas, The results of the study show that there are variations in implementing the four pillars of green tourism which include Reducing Carbon Emissions. Biodiversity Conservation, Waste and Waste Management, and Maintaining the sustainable availability of Water Resources in the Water Park Tourism Area in South Sulawesi.
