Abstract

This research aims to find out the strategy, strengh, weakness, opportunity and threat of Travel Business Management in Parepere to facing ASEAN Economic Community Data were collected through survey (questionaire) to stakeholders in Parepare city Data were analysed with SWOT analysis focusing on strength, weaknesses, opportunity and threat. The research shows that travel business management in Parepare city is constrained by lack of information services and human resources. As a consequence, low quality of services may not be avoided. The need of tourists is varied and thus, competition among the tourism industries occurs. The intense competition caused by the many agencies organizing trips, rental transportation modes, online ticket sales, especially online tickets at the minimarket operating without having licence from the regional authority.
