Abstract

The purpose of this research are ti study the norms of esthetic, forms and contents of tau tau at he buried of lemo carved stove in Tana Toraja. The buried is the oldest one of burying in Tana Toraja. the first time used around 1680 year. and it is still used until now. The burying are built at the wall of hill by are carved. in this case we can call "liang pahat" chosel hole (Kuburan pahat) Tau-tau at the Lemo buring is a part environment of the burying. Tau-tau are series between the hole of burying, and the totals of the Tau-tau are 52. The characteristic which is appear at Tau-tau are the same forms, bodies, costums, colours, and their accessories. The results of this research, can be make some conclusion that the proses of making the hole carved burying indicates the nature of their thinkings which is influenced by ontolologist. And the esthetic study can be give statements that the norms of the Lemo chisel stone have two norms esthetics. That are religous esthetic, arts and nature. The esthetic religous can said because it is supporting the Aluk Tudolo, and the esthetic art and nature caused of their appearings indicates suitably with nature. In this cases their esthetics appear from the concept of the Aluk Todolo which are mixed with nature of their thinking "mitis" and ontologis" so it gives us their esthetics suitably among human, nature and their ancestors
