Abstract

Toraja coffee is very popular among Japanese people, Toraja coffee is available in many coffee shops in Japan. But many Japanese do not know Toraja with its beauty and uniqueness. This research is a qualitative research by finding facts through interpretation in the form of tables and diagrams that can be useful to answer the problems in this study. The results of this study, most of the taste of Toraja coffee taste but they do not know where Toraja is. According to them Tana Toraja is very far, the journey to Tana Toraja takes a long time, this is contrary to the characteristics of Japanese tourists who like to travel closely and easily this is related to the short time for employees in Japan. The conclusion of this research is that Japanese people love Toraja's taste and aroma of coffee, Toraja coffee is very suitable with the tongue of Japanese society, lack of information and promotion of the cause of ignorance of Japanese society towards Tana Toraja tourist destination.
