Abstract

This Entrepreneurship Learning Module for the Travel and Tourism Business (UPW) Diploma 4 Program at Makassar Tourism Polytechnic is designed to strengthen students’ entrepreneurial mindset, skills, and competencies in alignment with Outcome-Based Education (OBE). Developed with reference to international frameworks—including UNESCO-UNEVOC TVET Entrepreneurship, the EntreComp Framework, ILO SIYB, and UNWTO standards—the module integrates global best practices with national tourism regulations and the specific professional competencies required in the Indonesian travel industry. The learning structure adopts a project-based model consisting of four phases: Business Environment Exploration and Analysis (BEEA), Business Model Canvas Creation (BMCC), Refining–Prototyping–Testing (RPT), and Testing–Reporting–Reflecting (TRR). Through these phases, students engage in industry trend analysis, problem identification using Design Thinking, business model development, prototype creation, and validation activities. The module emphasizes the relevance of entrepreneurial competencies to UPW professional skills such as tour package development, digital marketing, ticketing systems, guiding services, and customer experience management. By integrating theory, practical case studies, and real-world industry data, this module aims to equip students with the capability to innovate, respond to industry dynamics, and develop feasible travel business solutions. Ultimately, the module serves as a comprehensive learning resource to nurture adaptive, creative, and competitive young tourism entrepreneurs
